PHILOSOPHY
The A-JIS Library and Learning Resource Center (LRC) aims to develop positive life-long learners and promote information literacy through the use of our library resources and technology.
OBJECTIVES:
1. to develop library resources that will support the needs of students and staff
2. to collaborate with teachers creating innovative learning experiences to the students
3. to provide access to information and learning resources
4. to promote effective and responsible use of technology

The school library is located on the third floor. It is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A qualified Library Media Specialist is available to help and assist teachers and students. Feel free to ask for assistance anytime the librarian is not teaching a class. Computers that are connected to the school wide network are available for student research.

General Library Rules and Regulations
① A student needs an ID in order to fully utilize the library collection and services.
② Bags are not allowed inside the library.
③ Eating and drinking are strictly prohibited inside the library. Cleanliness and orderliness must be properly maintained.
④ Students must make the best use of the library resources. Computers are for research and academic
use only. Any improper use of the computers will be subject for disciplinary action. Other equipment in
the library must be used upon the librarian’s consent.
⑤ All materials borrowed must be returned on or before its due date. Borrowers with overdue materials
are not permitted to borrow or renew items until overdue items are returned.
⑥ Students are liable for the cost of replacement or repair of material lost, damaged or defected while in
their possession. A heavy fine maybe decided and imposed by the librarian upon approval of the
PRINCIPAL.
⑦ Students must adhere to the rule of SILENCE in the library. Readers must not cause any disturbance
that is likely to distract others.
⑧ The use of mobile phones in the library is not permitted.
⑨ Students must be aware of the library rules and regulations, its consequences and disciplinary action.
Fines
For Lost books
Cost of replacement=(Present Cost + Processing Cost) * Once the library has replaced the lost book, the cost of replacement is not refundable.
